Every young person has their own bedroom and access to appropriate communal or self-contained facilities. Our properties are fully furnished, regularly maintained and equipped with appropriate fire safety, security and safeguarding measures.
We want young people to feel safe, settled and at home. Our accommodation is designed to be welcoming, respectful and homely, providing a positive environment where young people can build confidence, develop independence and prepare for adulthood.

Brightsky provides a range of safe, comfortable and high-quality homesdesigned to meet the different needs of young people. Our accommodation includes shared supported homes, solo and self-contained flats, 24-hour staffed provision and outreach-based supported accommodation.

Our Placement Approach
At Brightsky, we believe that the right environment can make a real difference to a young person’s progress. Our homes provide young people with a secure and welcoming base from which they can build relationships, develop everyday living skills and take increasing responsibility for their future.
Accommodation is chosen with each young person’s individual circumstances in mind. We work closely with placing authorities and professionals to understand their needs, strengths and aspirations, helping us identify a home and level of support that gives the placement the best opportunity to succeed.
We also recognise the importance of connection and belonging. Wherever possible, our homes provide access to education, training, healthcare, transport links and community opportunities, helping young people build support networks and become active members of their local community. This reflects the Statement of Purpose’s focus on safe, welcoming accommodation, community participation and successful preparation for their future.
Progression Towards Independence
Every young person’s journey is different. Through positive relationships, regular key work sessions, personalised support planning and our Supported Learning Independence Programme (SLIP), we help young people build confidence, develop practical life skills and take increasing responsibility for their future.

Our Staff and Support
Every young person has a named Support Worker who provides consistent guidance, encouragement and regular one-to-one support. Support is matched to individual need, with higher levels of staffing and safeguarding oversight available where required. Plans and risks are regularly reviewed with young people and relevant professionals.

Our aim is for every young person to leave Brightsky with greater confidence, resilience and independence. Through safe homes, positive relationships and strong partnership working, we support progress in education, employment, wellbeing, budgeting, relationships, life skills and preparation for adulthood.

Who Our Service Is Suitable For
Brightsky Youth Services is an Ofsted-regulated supported accommodation provider and is registered on the West Midlands Supported Accommodation Framework. We provide accommodation and support for young people aged 16 to 21, including looked-after children, care leavers and Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children (UASC), who are assessed as suitable for supported accommodation.
All referrals must be made through a Local Authority Children’s Social Care Placement Team, Commissioning Team or Home Finding Team. We do not accept self-referrals or direct referrals based solely on Universal Credit or Housing Benefit eligibility.
Every referral is carefully assessed to ensure we can safely meet the young person’s needs and provide suitable accommodation and support. As a supported accommodation provider, we do not provide personal care, nursing care, secure accommodation or specialist clinical or therapeutic treatment.
